Mumbai can be reached through numerous flights. The international terminal Sahar, renamed as Chatrapati Sivaji International Airportoperates round the clock. Hotel bookings and pre-paid taxis are available at the terminal.The domestic terminal Santa Cruz is about 5km apart and can easily be reached through regular shuttle buses between the two terminals.The domestic airport is well connected and can be used to visit most parts of Western and Southern India.
By Road
If you would like to travel by road within India, most long distance buses leave from the State Transport Terminal located opposite Mumbai's Central Railway Station. However, this is not a good option if you do not speak Hindi or Marathi as no printed information is available in English. However most of the neighbouring states like Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh have their state bus company offices located here.
By Rail
Mumbai is directly connected to most of the cities in India by train. Apart from the fastest trains like Shatabdi Express and Rajdhani Express, there are many other trains connecting Mumbai with almost all cities of India. The major Railway Stations of Mumbai include Church gate, Chattrapathi Shivaji Terminal, Mumbai Central and Dadar.
