 HIHT vision has been to excel in the field of hotel management education. HIHT is now recognized as one of the best and most respected hotel management schools in the Asia-Pacific region. This can largely be attributed to the periodic redefining of its mission to align itself with the changing times while maintaining focus on social responsiveness.
Ever since its inception, HIHT has focused on developing hospitality leaders. Today, HIHTIANS occupy key positions in top organizations in India and have acted as the ambassadors of change wherever they have worked.
In response to the rapidly changing hospitality industry, the Institute has made sustained efforts to bring an international perspective to all its activities. In the context of the hotel management programme, the Institute has encouraged an increasing overseas exposure for its students in several ways one of which is increasing the international focus in the training material used in our programme.
HIHT has been making a significant contribution to hospitality management research in a wide range of areas.Our Faculty and Heritage Learning and Development Centre are engaged in research and training activities in different sectors of hospitality . Recently we have opened our 3rd Campus at Goa. We already have Campuses at Agra - The Hertiage City of Taj Mahal and Shimla- The Summer Capital.
In recent years, HIHT has taken several steps in its pursuit for excellence. Some of the specific steps taken during the last couple of years are: Recruitment of new faculty, Offering new and contemporary elective courses, Review of course package, Development of new case materials, and Modernization of IT infrastructure.
HIHT has always enjoyed special preference of Indian as well as foreign recruiters on account of its excellent performance sustained in a span of time and its strong brand image.
